This role does not require a Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) license, making it accessible to individuals with a valid standard driver's license. The main responsibilities include assisting with loading and securing products, helping deliver and off-load products at customer sites, driving a pilot vehicle for oversize loads when necessary, and ensuring that all deliveries are completed safely and in compliance with company and regulatory standards. The Delivery Assistant will often work under the supervision of a department supervisor or manager and collaborate closely with drivers and other team members.

This position requires physical endurance and the ability to perform demanding tasks such as lifting and carrying heavy materials, sometimes up to 200 pounds with assistance. The work environment includes exposure to various weather conditions, moderate noise levels, and requires the ability to operate both motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment. The role demands a strong commitment to safety procedures to prevent injuries and maintain a secure working environment for oneself and colleagues.
