The position of Driver Helper at Carlson Distributing is a vital role within the delivery operations team. As a Driver Helper, you will play an essential part in ensuring that merchandise is loaded, transported, and delivered efficiently and safely. Job Requirements

  • Valid driver license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to lift 45 lbs regularly and up to 150 lbs occasionally
  • Experience operating two-wheel dolly and related equipment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks
  • Authorized to work in the United States

Job Duties

  • Maintain back rooms by organizing and consolidating back stock safely and accessibly within the assigned loading dock area
  • Set aside and store unfit products for sale to be credited to customer accounts
  • Operate powered equipment such as pallet jacks and manual equipment
  • Clean and organize shelves or aisles daily to ensure a safe environment for consumers
  • Load and unload trucks and/or company vehicles by hand, hand truck, or dolly
  • Unload and verify all returning products with appropriate check-in personnel
  • Pad, stack, and secure items to prevent damage during shipment
  • Deliver and stack merchandise on customer premises
  • Assist drivers in off-loading products to customers
  • Lift up to 90 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
  • Work overtime as required and participate in ongoing safety awareness efforts
