Performance Foodservice, a part of Performance Food Group (PFG), is a leading broadline distributor that plays a vital role in the food service supply chain across America. This company serves a diverse range of customers, including independent restaurants, hotels, healthcare facilities, schools, and quick-service eateries. Known for its strong commitment to customer relationships, Performance Foodservice goes beyond simply delivering high-quality products by offering expert advice through its dedicated team of sales representatives, chefs, consultants, and other specialists. These professionals help customers improve their operations, develop menus, select products, and implement strategic plans to grow their businesses. Such a comprehensive approach positions Performance Foodservice not just as a supplier, but as a trusted partner dedicated to supporting the success of independent restaurant owners and food service operators nationwide.

The role of Driver, Helper Non Formula, within Performance Foodservice is critical in ensuring the timely and safe delivery of food products to customers. This position involves assisting the primary driver in operating various truck types, including tractor trailers, tandem trailers, and straight trucks, along intrastate and interstate routes. The delivery drivers are essential to the company’s mission of maintaining an efficient and reliable food distribution network that supports America’s food supply system. Drivers not only guarantee that products reach customers in excellent condition and on schedule but also represent the company’s values through professional and courteous customer interactions, building lasting relationships that foster trust and customer satisfaction.

As a Driver, Helper Non Formula, you will provide hands-on support by helping with loading and unloading products, placing items in designated areas specified by customers, and completing necessary documentation promptly and accurately. This role demands adherence to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations to ensure safety compliance at all times. Additionally, you will be expected to contribute positively to the company culture, working as an effective team member alongside colleagues and management, and perform other duties as assigned to best serve the company’s interests.

Performance Foodservice values its employees and offers competitive pay alongside comprehensive benefits starting from day one. These benefits include health and wellness programs, employee stock purchase plans, 401(k) employer matching, education assistance, and paid time off, among others. The company cultivates a safe, inclusive, and respectful working environment that encourages recognition, reward, and growth opportunities. This focus on employee development is paired with the essential nature of the work, which plays a fundamental role in supporting the nation’s food distribution framework.

This full-time role is ideal for individuals who are hardworking, customer-focused, and committed to safety and operational excellence within the food service delivery sector. Whether you are new to the field or have experience in warehouse and food service environments, this position offers a rewarding career path within a reputable company dedicated to making a difference in the communities it serves.
