Job Description
McLane Company is a leading distribution services company with a proud history dating back to 1894. For over 130 years, the company has built a strong reputation for delivering reliable, safe, and efficient supply chain solutions across the United States. McLane operates a vast network that supports restaurant, retail, and e-commerce clients, ensuring their favorite brands are consistently stocked and readily available. With its unwavering commitment to safety, industry-leading technology adoption, and a people-centered culture, McLane continues to set the standard in the distribution industry while providing stable, long-term career opportunities for its employees. The organization emphasizes the importance of agile operations and comprehensive team member training to maintain its position as a trusted industry leader.
The position of Class B Driver at McLane is a pivotal role essential to maintaining the seamless flow of goods across the supply chain. As a Class B Driver, you will operate straight trucks, box trucks, or other appropriate vehicles to transport food staples and specialty products to various customer locations with safety and reliability as top priorities. Drivers at McLane are more than just drivers; they are key team members who help strengthen client relationships by ensuring delivery accuracy and product integrity. This role offers industry-leading pay at $23.40 per hour with benefits starting on the 60th day, such as medical, dental, and vision insurance, plus company-paid life insurance. Additionally, you will earn vacation time and sick leave from day one, paid holidays after 90 days, and participate in a 401(k) Profit Sharing Plan. Enjoy extra advantages including pet insurance, parental leave, employee assistance programs, discount programs, and tuition reimbursement.
Your daily responsibilities will include operating the assigned vehicle to transport products safely and efficiently, unloading deliveries and placing products in customer-designated food-safe storage areas, and performing warehouse duties when not on delivery routes. A strong emphasis is placed on working safely to prevent injuries and product damage, highlighting the company’s dedication to a safe working environment. McLane values drivers who are safety-focused, reliable, adaptable, and dedicated—qualities that help foster successful, long-lasting careers. The company’s commitment extends beyond operational excellence by supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion in its workforce, ensuring fair employment practices without discrimination based on age, race, gender, or other protected categories.
Joining McLane means becoming part of a team moving America forward together. The company’s legacy and innovative approach make it an ideal workplace for those looking to build a stable career in the distribution and transportation industry, with the support and benefits that acknowledge the hard work of its drivers.
