Job Description
McLane is a prominent leader in the distribution industry with a rich history spanning over 130 years. Established in 1894, McLane has built a vast and reliable nationwide network dedicated to serving America's favorite brands across restaurant, retail, and e-commerce sectors. The company’s primary focus is on moving, supplying, and providing essential products with an unwavering commitment to safety, reliability, and efficiency. Embracing new technologies and prioritizing continuous team member training, McLane fosters a people-centered culture designed to support long-lasting careers. This commitment has established its reputation as an industry leader and an employer of choice for those seeking career growth in the logistics and distribution sector.
As a Class B Driver with McLane, you will play a vital role in the supply chain by operating straight trucks, box trucks, or other appropriate vehicles to deliver food staples and specialty products to various customer locations. This is a hands-on role requiring a strong emphasis on safety and customer service, making sure that products are handled properly and delivered efficiently into designated food-safe storage areas. Your responsibilities will extend beyond just driving, involving warehouse duties during non-delivery times to support overall operational success. McLane values drivers who are reliable, adaptable, and dedicated with a safety-first mindset. This is a full-time position offering competitive wages at $23.40 per hour coupled with a comprehensive benefits package that becomes available starting on the 60th day. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as flexible spending accounts and company-paid life insurance.
McLane’s culture respects and promotes diversity and equal opportunity in employment, welcoming applicants regardless of age, race, religion, gender identity, disability, or veteran status. The company ensures a fair hiring process, which may include background checks and drug screening consistent with applicable laws. Employees benefit not only from competitive pay and insurance plans but also from earning paid vacation, sick leave accrual from day one, and eligibility for paid holidays after 90 days. Additionally, McLane offers a 401(k) profit-sharing plan shortly after hire and other unique perks such as pet insurance, parental leave, tuition reimbursement, discount programs, and employee assistance initiatives. Choosing McLane means joining a forward-thinking, secure employer dedicated to moving America forward by investing in its people and infrastructure while emphasizing safety, reliability, and career development.
