The company has built strong, secure client relationships and maintains an expansive nationwide network that serves the restaurant, retail, and e-commerce sectors. McLane’s commitment to embracing new technology, investing in team member training, and fostering a people-centered culture allows it to remain agile and continue making industry-defining moves. The company values diversity and inclusion, offering equal employment opportunities to all candidates regardless of age, race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or veteran status. McLane ensures all candidates are treated fairly and in compliance with legal standards, including background checks and drug screening requirements where applicable.

The role of a Class B Driver at McLane is vital for maintaining the company’s high standards in supply chain delivery. This position involves driving straight trucks, box trucks, or other appropriate vehicles to transport food staples and specialty products to a variety of customer locations. Drivers are responsible not only for operating vehicles but also for unloading and placing products in designated food-safe storage areas, performing warehouse duties when not on delivery routes, and adhering to safety protocols to prevent injuries and product damage. This full-time position offers an hourly pay rate of $23.40, coupled with a comprehensive benefits package that begins on the 60th day of employment. Employees earn vacation time and sick leave from the first day and gain access to paid holidays after 90 days, along with enrollment in a 401(k) Profit Sharing Plan. Additional benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts (FSA) or health savings accounts (HSA), company-paid life insurance, and extra perks like pet insurance, parental leave, employee assistance programs, discount opportunities, and tuition reimbursement.

McLane seeks candidates who are safety-focused, reliable, adaptable, and dedicated to excellence. To succeed as a Class B Driver, candidates must be at least 21 years old, hold a valid Class B commercial driver’s license, and have the physical ability to lift and move pallets weighing up to 75 pounds. Essential to the role is proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding English to meet safety and operational standards. Drivers contribute to McLane’s mission of moving America forward by ensuring that products reach their destinations safely and efficiently.
