Job Description

This role is for a Driver with a Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) including HAZMAT and Airbrake endorsements, based in Stockton, CA on Wilcox Road at the Filling Industrial location. This position offers a competitive hourly wage from $24.00 to $26.00 and follows a Monday through Friday schedule from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Airgas supports a comprehensive family benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, and disability insurance, along with parental support offering up to 14 weeks of paid childbirth benefits. The Driver role focuses on ensuring safety, compliance, and effective delivery operations. The incumbent will maintain a safe driving record and requisite licenses while strictly following the company’s safety policies and appropriate use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Responsibilities include regular performance of pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and adherence to all regulations set at federal, state, local, and Department of Transportation (DOT) levels. Operational duties involve loading and unloading service trucks, executing scheduled and non-route deliveries promptly, and ensuring all delivery documentation is complete and accurate.
Administrative responsibilities include maintaining accurate company and DOT documentation, identifying potential issues with cylinders, managing warehouse order fulfillment, and overseeing the collection of customer payments. The role also requires providing inventory and delivery support to internal and external customers and being available for occasional mandatory overtime, including weekends and holidays, especially for on-call duty.

Job Requirements
- valid Class A CDL or CDL B with HAZMAT and Airbrake endorsements
- HAZMAT certification required
- maintain appropriate driver’s license medical card and endorsements
- no more than two traffic convictions or two at-fault accidents in the last 3 years or combination of one traffic conviction and one at-fault accident
- no driving under the influence of alcohol or controlled substance in last seven years
- ability to work in a drug-free environment
- ability to regularly lift 75lbs and move over 125lbs with equipment
- one year CDL driving experience in last 5 years or recent trucking school completion
Job Qualifications

- current HAZMAT certification
- ability to maintain appropriate driver’s license medical card and endorsements
- clean driving record with no more than two traffic convictions or two at-fault accidents in the last 3 years or a combination of one traffic conviction and one at-fault accident
- no driving under the influence within the last seven years
- ability to work in a drug-free environment
- ability to regularly lift 75lbs and move over 125lbs with material handling equipment
- minimum one year of CDL driving experience in the last 5 years or recent trucking school completion
- forklift experience preferred
- one year of CDL experience preferred
