The role of Class A CDL Driver at Clean Harbors in San Diego, CA, involves operating a variety of heavy and light-duty trucks and work equipment at customer sites, primarily supporting hazardous waste cleanup operations. Drivers in this position are responsible not only for safely operating commercial vehicles such as vacuum trucks, Cuscos, guzzlers, and roll-offs but also for carrying out essential non-driving duties that ensure the success and safety of the cleanup projects. This includes manual labor tasks, proper placarding of vehicles in compliance with company and Department of Transportation regulations, and maintaining daily logs and reports. Holding a valid Class A CDL and the ability to obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsements are crucial due to the nature of the work involving hazardous materials.

Additionally, this role requires adaptability and teamwork, as drivers assist field laborers and might be called upon to be on call for emergency response on a rotating basis. The position involves some overnight travel approximately 1-2 times per month and offers a progressive pay range between $29 and $31 per hour.
