The broader Air Liquide group, present in 60 countries with 66,500 employees, serves over 4 million customers and patients globally, making Airgas a key part of a world leader in gases, technologies, and services for industry and healthcare.

This job opening for a CDL A or B Driver is located in San Diego, CA, within Airgas's industrial services division. It is a union position presenting a competitive pay structure where CDL A license holders earn $31.80 per hour and CDL B license holders earn $30.44 per hour. The role features a 40-45 hour work week with minimal overtime, mostly Monday through Friday with occasional weekends, offering a balanced work-life harmony ideal for those looking to spend quality time with their families and friends.

As a delivery driver, you will be responsible for performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, loading and unloading cylinders, securing and unsecuring them safely, and navigating delivery sites often requiring physical activity and hands-on tasks such as using a hand cart. Frequent interaction with customers emphasizes the importance of professionalism and courteous conduct.

Airgas offers significant benefits such as a referral bonus, extensive paid family and parental leave including up to 14 weeks of paid childbirth benefit, a 401(k) retirement plan with company match, tuition assistance, and paid holidays plus vacation and sick time. The company also promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace, valuing unique perspectives that enhance innovation and team strength. As part of a union workforce, associates can also review their bargaining agreement for specific benefit eligibility and terms. The company holds a strong commitment to an equal employment opportunity policy, encouraging applications from diverse backgrounds and providing accommodations for disabilities to ensure an inclusive work environment.
