Job Description
Clean Harbors is a leading provider of environmental, energy, and industrial services operating throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Puerto Rico. The company specializes in offering comprehensive solutions where industry meets environment, ensuring safety, sustainability, and environmental responsibility. Known for addressing complex challenges through innovative methods and proven practices, Clean Harbors is dedicated to maintaining high standards in health and safety as well as environmental stewardship. Their services span hazardous waste clean-up, site remediation, waste transportation, and emergency response, solidifying their reputation as a trusted partner in environmental management.
The available position is for a Class A CDL Driver based in Huber Heights, OH. This full-time role involves operating a variety of heavy and light-duty trucks and work equipment at customer sites, including vacuum trucks, Cuscos, guzzlers, and roll-offs. The driver is responsible not only for safely driving these vehicles but also performing non-driving tasks related to hazardous waste clean-up and roll-off container handling. This includes loading and unloading equipment, manual labor on-site to fulfill customer needs, and ensuring regulatory compliance with U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) and company standards regarding vehicle operation and hazardous material handling.
This role demands a strong commitment to safety as the number one priority, requiring adherence to all safe work practices, policies, and procedures. The driver must maintain accurate logs, time sheets, and reports required for regulatory and operational purposes. Additional responsibilities may include being on call for emergency response on a rotating schedule, and conducting equipment decontamination and site remediation tasks when necessary. This position offers opportunities for career growth and development through company-paid training and tuition reimbursement.
Clean Harbors provides a supportive team-oriented environment where collaboration and mutual assistance are encouraged. Employees benefit from a comprehensive health benefits package, including medical coverage starting after 30 days of full-time employment, a 401(k) plan with company match, and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan, allowing employees to share in the company's success. The company’s focus on sustainability and protecting the environment aligns with the values of those who are passionate about making a positive impact through their work.
Working as a Class A CDL Driver at Clean Harbors means being part of a safety-conscious team that values continuous learning and professional development. The company prioritizes equal employment opportunities and provides reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities to ensure an inclusive workplace. Clean Harbors is also recognized as a military and veteran-friendly employer, demonstrating commitment to diversity and inclusion. This role reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to fair and equitable compensation, with salaries reflecting experience, skills, and business needs, plus potential bonuses and incentives.
