The Class A CDL Driver role is integral to Clean Harbors’ operations, responsible for operating various heavy and light-duty trucks and work equipment at customer sites. Typical vehicles operated include vacuum trucks, Cuscos, guzzlers, and roll-offs. This position involves both driving and non-driving duties associated with hazardous waste clean-up. The driver ensures the safe and compliant handling of equipment and materials, performs manual labor when necessary, and supports the overall mission of environmental stewardship.
The role requires compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including strict adherence to DOT standards and company policies. The driver must maintain detailed logs, accurately placard vehicles, and participate in emergency response rotations as needed. Operational responsibilities include loading and unloading materials safely, assisting field laborers in a collaborative team environment, and following all safety and environmental guidelines.

- ability to obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsement within 90 days of employment
- ability to use various mobile devices

Job Duties
- ensure health and safety compliance by following all safe work practices, policies and processes
- operate commercial trucks including vacuum trucks, Cuscos, guzzlers and roll offs
- assist field laborers at job sites as part of a team
- load and unload trucks and equipment safely
- perform manual labor on site to meet customer needs
- properly placard vehicles to meet company and DOT requirements
- maintain daily logs, time sheets and reports
- adhere to local, state and federal compliance regulations
- participate in emergency response on a rotating on-call basis as required
- perform site remediation, equipment decontamination and handle hazardous materials as directed
