Job Description

Performance Food Group is a leading broadline foodservice distributor dedicated to serving a wide range of communities including independent restaurants, hotels, healthcare facilities, schools, and quick-service eateries. The company prides itself on building lasting relationships with its customers through a team of knowledgeable sales representatives, chefs, consultants, and other experts who provide valuable operational advice, assist with menu development, and recommend product selections and strategies tailored to each client’s unique needs. Performance Food Group is not only committed to delivering high-quality food products but also supports independent restaurant owners and other clients in achieving their business goals through exceptional service and partnership.

The role of Driver Check-In Coordinator at Performance Food Group plays a critical part in supporting the company’s mission by ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of the food supply chain. Delivery drivers are essential to the business as they are responsible for timely and safe delivery of products to customers, and the Driver Check-In Coordinator acts as a key point of contact and support for these drivers. This position involves accurately checking in drivers upon their return from deliveries, reconciling delivered goods and returns, and maintaining accurate records related to inventory and vehicle maintenance.

This is a full-time opportunity offering competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package that includes Day 1 Health and Wellness Benefits, an Employee Stock Purchase Plan, 401K employer matching, Education Assistance, Paid Time Off, and other incentives designed to promote career growth and a positive, rewarding work environment. The company fosters a safe and inclusive culture emphasizing rewards, recognition, and respect for all employees. The Driver Check-In Coordinator contributes not only by managing logistics but also by serving as a professional representative in communications with customers, vendors, and colleagues.

Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with Department of Transportation regulations by properly filing logs and vehicle maintenance reports, reconciling cash and checks delivered by drivers, coordinating vehicle repairs, and promptly addressing any delivery challenges. This role requires strong administrative abilities, basic math skills, and computer proficiency to manage data entry and inventory reconciliation. Importantly, the Coordinator supports a team-oriented workplace and must be adaptable to perform additional duties as necessary to support the company’s operational goals.

Overall, this position is ideal for someone with a background in warehouse or distribution environments seeking to grow their career within the foodservice industry. It offers meaningful work that directly impacts the efficient distribution of food and supports America’s larger food supply chain, making it an excellent opportunity for candidates passionate about logistics, customer service, and teamwork.
