With over four decades of experience, PTI has earned a strong reputation for providing safe, reliable, and high-quality transportation services specifically designed to meet the unique needs of railroads across the nation. PTI operates a fleet of vehicles that function much like a shuttle service, handling around-the-clock requests to pick up and drop off train crew members efficiently and punctually. The company prides itself on a safety-first approach, and the motto "Where the RIGHT way is the SAFE way" encapsulates its commitment to maintaining the highest standards in crew transportation. PTI values dependability, professionalism, and a customer-oriented mindset, making it a trusted partner to railroad companies. PTI continuously invests in its employees by providing on-the-job training, multiple health insurance options, and safety recognition awards to foster a supportive and rewarding work environment. As a driver with PTI, you become part of a large and expanding organization that values your contribution and provides opportunities for personal and professional growth. You will enjoy working with a company that prioritizes safety, offers competitive pay, and ensures you are home every day without long-distance travel demands. The starting pay for drivers varies according to position, with Daily Yield Van (DYV) drivers starting at $12.00 per hour and Over-The-Road (OTR) drivers beginning at $13.00 per hour. PTI also supports its drivers with company-provided vehicles and fuel for trips, eliminating concerns about out-of-pocket transportation expenses. Additional benefits include paid vacation time, 401(k) retirement plans, and room for advancement within the company. The role of a PTI Van Driver is ideal for self-confident, outgoing, and dependable individuals seeking to grow their careers in a unique trucking environment without the need for prior professional driving experience. The position requires excellent safety awareness, punctuality, and strong customer service skills. PTI drivers deliver railroad crew members safely to their destinations while maintaining rigorous communication with the dispatch center to ensure seamless scheduling and service quality. Drivers are responsible for opening and closing vehicle doors and hatches for crew members, inspecting their vehicles, and reporting any issues to supervisors to uphold safety and operational efficiency. PTI fosters a team-oriented culture where all employees are expected to promote and adhere to company policies and procedures, contributing to a positive and efficient work atmosphere.Where the RIGHT way is the SAFE way, PTI offers a rewarding career opportunity for individuals passionate about safety and service excellence. Joining PTI means becoming part of a growing organization with a commitment to quality, safety, and employee well-being. If you have at least three years of personal or work-related driving experience, a clean driving record, and a valid driver’s license, this could be the perfect role to jumpstart your transportation career. PTI requires all candidates to pass a post-offer drug screening, motor vehicle record check, and homeland security background check to ensure safety standards are met.
