Job Description
Aramark is a global leader in food services, facilities management, and uniform services, proudly serving millions of guests every day across 15 countries. The company is firmly rooted in service and united by a strong sense of purpose to make a positive impact on employees, partners, communities, and the planet. Aramark is committed to creating an inclusive and equitable work environment where all employees have equal opportunities regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, gender identity, disability, or any other characteristics protected by law. With a focus on professional growth and development, Aramark offers a dynamic career path for individuals driven by passion, purpose, and the desire to make a real difference in their work and the communities they serve.
The Driver II position at Aramark is designed for individuals who excel in customer service, safety, and reliability while operating company vehicles. This role involves driving buses, shuttle vans, straight trucks, or boat-hauling vehicles weighing under 26,000 lbs (GVW) to transport passengers, supplies, and equipment efficiently and safely. The Driver II is entrusted with maintaining a clean and pleasant environment inside and outside the vehicle, ensuring all safety protocols are followed, and providing exceptional service that reflects positively on the Aramark brand. Drivers should have strong defensive driving skills, be knowledgeable about the areas they serve, and offer concierge-like assistance to passengers when needed. Beyond driving responsibilities, the role may include vehicle maintenance tasks such as daily inspections, fueling, cleaning, and reporting any mechanical or safety issues immediately. Drivers may also be involved in clerical duties, dispatching, and operating cash registers under certain circumstances, requiring accuracy and professionalism in handling monetary transactions.
The compensation for this hourly role is estimated at $20.86 per hour, reflecting Aramark's commitment to fair and competitive wages. While the role requires physical demands such as lifting luggage up to 80 lbs, bending, pushing, and extended walking or standing, it also provides opportunities for skill enhancement through ongoing training like Defensive Driving Courses. The position requires adherence to company policies covering safety, security, and emergency response standards, ensuring a secure and compliant work environment. This job offers minimal travel requirements, making it suitable for those seeking a stable role with consistent responsibilities. Aramark emphasizes continuous improvement and encourages drivers to share innovative ideas to enhance operational efficiency and service quality. With a supportive work culture focused on inclusion and growth, Aramark invites qualified candidates who are at least 21 years old with professional driving experience and excellent communication skills to join the team and contribute to a thriving service organization.
