Job Description
SRS Distribution Inc. is a leading distributor in the building products industry, known for its comprehensive range of high-quality roofing, siding, windows, and other exterior building materials. Operating across numerous branches throughout the United States, SRS Distribution focuses on delivering exceptional products and services to contractors, builders, and retailers. The company prides itself on fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive work environment that encourages professional growth and community engagement. With a strong commitment to diversity and equal opportunity, SRS Distribution offers a competitive compensation package along with a variety of benefits designed to support its employees' well-being and future financial security.
The Driver role at SRS Distribution is a critical position responsible for operating company vehicles to deliver products safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires the driver to navigate both short and long-distance routes during the day, coordinating effectively with management to optimize delivery schedules and routes. The Driver ensures that deliveries are completed accurately and customers receive their products in satisfactory condition. Responsibilities extend beyond driving to include loading and unloading trucks, conducting pre- and post-trip inspections, maintaining maintenance records, and complying with all safety regulations and certifications such as DOT, OSHA, and Hazmat. The position demands physical stamina, attention to detail, and a strong adherence to safety protocols.
SRS Distribution's Driver not only plays a vital role in the supply chain but also acts as a face of the company to customers, requiring professionalism and a customer-focused attitude. The role includes some after-hours training and the possibility of overtime work, reflecting the company’s dedication to developing its workforce and meeting client demands. Given that the position involves considerable travel—up to 80% to various branches and operating companies—the candidate must be adaptable and ready to manage time effectively. The work environment can vary from cold to hot conditions, and physical tasks such as lifting up to 60 pounds, climbing stairs, and manual handling are regularly required.
Employment at SRS Distribution comes with a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive weekly or bi-weekly pay, discretionary bonuses, 401(k) with company match, employee stock purchase plans, and paid time off in multiple categories (vacation, sick, volunteer, holidays, birthday, and floating holidays). Health benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, along with flexible spending accounts for health and dependent care. Company-paid life insurance and short-term disability are provided, with options for long-term disability and additional life insurance policies. The company also supports mental, physical, and emotional well-being through dedicated programs, safety initiatives, wellness bonuses, and an employee referral bonus program. This supportive benefits structure underscores SRS Distribution's commitment to the holistic well-being of its employees and their families, making it an attractive employer for qualified drivers seeking a stable and rewarding career.
