As a Driver/Loader at Summit Stairs & Millwork, based in Rock Hill, SC, you play a vital role in the logistics and customer service operations by ensuring the safe and timely transportation of stairs and millwork products. This full-time position offers a competitive hourly wage of $18 to $20 depending on experience, working Monday through Friday with occasional overtime. Reporting directly to the Shipping Manager, the Driver/Loader ensures that deliveries meet high company standards for quality and customer satisfaction. This role involves operating box trucks up to 20 feet in length while complying with Department of Transportation regulations, loading and unloading materials with attention to order accuracy, and maintaining strong communication with customers and internal teams. Candidates for this role must demonstrate reliability, punctuality, physical endurance, and the ability to lift and move heavy items with team assistance. Additionally, familiarity with the use of ramps, docks, pallet jacks, and hand trucks is required, alongside a valid driver’s license and a clean motor vehicle record. The position also entails conducting vehicle inspections, documenting delivery information, and proactively addressing any delivery concerns to uphold Summit’s commitment to excellent service. Job Duties
- Operate box trucks up to 20 feet in compliance with DOT regulations
- Deliver products to customers safely, efficiently, and courteously
- Build strong relationships with customers through professional and dependable service
- Load and unload materials, verifying contents against work orders and shipping tickets
- Report overages, shortages, or damages promptly and accurately
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any issues
- Retain and submit gas receipts for monthly audits
- Take and email proof-of-delivery photos to the Shipping Manager
- Communicate customer concerns or delivery issues promptly
