At the new Columbus, Ohio location (CK Columbus), McLane is currently seeking experienced CDL-A Delivery Drivers to join their growing team. This role offers an excellent career opportunity for drivers eager to start early with a company that is expanding its operations and aiming for long-term success in the region. The position comes with a competitive annual salary range of $90,000 to $95,000, and drivers have the chance to earn a retention bonus of up to $7,500 based on experience. McLane drivers have opportunities to earn as much as $100,000 annually with top performance. The compensation package includes multiple pay components such as hourly wages, mileage pay, stops, and cases, emphasizing productivity and safety.
As a CDL-A Delivery Driver at McLane, you’ll play a critical role in delivering products that keep America’s restaurants, retailers, and convenience stores stocked and operating efficiently. You will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers, delivering products on-time, and maintaining the high standards McLane is known for. Drivers receive comprehensive Day 1 benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, flexible spending account (FSA) and health savings account (HSA) options, as well as company-paid life insurance. Job Requirements
- Minimum age of 21
- Valid CDL-A license
- One year or 50,000 miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
- Ability to comply with McLane's motor vehicle record (MVR) and risk rating standards
- Proficient in English reading, writing and comprehension relevant to safety and job functions
Job Qualifications
- At least 21 years of age
- Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
- At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
- Must meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications
- Ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely
Job Duties
- Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition
- Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery
- Drive tractor-trailer to destination applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle
- Maintain driver log (manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions
- Unload trailer delivering product into customer premises
- Perform other duties as assigned
