Job Description
The Parking Spot is a leading company in the near-airport parking industry, proudly operating for more than 25 years. As the largest near-airport parking company in the United States, The Parking Spot has more than 2,000 dedicated team members stationed across over 40 locations nationwide. This extensive presence is a testament to its commitment to providing exceptional parking and transportation services to travelers across the country. The company emphasizes a collaborative culture through its Employee Ownership Program, which allows every team member to have a direct financial stake in the company's success. This unique program not only motivates employees but also fosters a strong sense of unity and shared accomplishment in delivering excellent customer service every day.
The role of Shuttle Driver (Non-CDL) at The Parking Spot is vital to maintaining smooth operations and meeting customer needs. Shuttle Drivers are responsible for providing safe and courteous transportation for customers traveling between Parking Spot facilities and airport terminals. This role demands a high level of professionalism, excellent customer service skills, and adherence to safety standards. Drivers are tasked with safely transporting up to 15 passengers while adhering strictly to all safe driving protocols. Additionally, Shuttle Drivers perform essential pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the shuttle's safety and reliability. These drivers greet every customer warmly, assist with luggage, and demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the facility and airport terminals to enhance the overall customer experience.
Candidates in this position benefit from a competitive pay rate starting at $13 per hour, supplemented by generous tips both in cash and through mobile platforms. Regular bonus opportunities further incentivize and reward outstanding service and dedication. The Parking Spot offers employees consistent schedules and provides opportunities for professional development and training to help team members grow within the company.
For eligible employees, a robust benefits package is available, including medical, vision, dental, and 401(k) plans. The company also offers paid time off, vacation pay, and paid holidays, ensuring a supportive work-life balance. The Parking Spot values diversity and inclusion, celebrating differences to create an equitable and welcoming workplace. Employees at The Parking Spot are encouraged to contribute their unique perspectives, helping to foster a culture of respect, dignity, and equal opportunity. The company actively stands against racism and discrimination and is dedicated to listening, learning, and growing together as a team.
This role is available across all shifts and includes on-call opportunities. It is ideal for individuals 21 years or older, with a high school diploma or equivalent. While previous driving or customer service experience is preferred, the company is committed to training new hires and helping them excel as part of The Parking Spot family. Shuttle Drivers must maintain a satisfactory driving record and meet physical and regulatory requirements, such as passing a physical examination as mandated by airport and federal regulations. The ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, is essential, as is the physical capability to assist with luggage safely.
Joining The Parking Spot as a Shuttle Driver means becoming part of a respected, employee-owned company dedicated to service excellence, inclusive culture, and ongoing personal and professional growth.
