We are currently seeking a skilled Delivery Driver to join our dynamic team at the Columbus, Ohio location. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that building materials are delivered safely, efficiently, and on schedule to commercial and residential job sites. The Delivery Driver will operate commercial motor vehicles in compliance with all federal and state regulations, as well as company policies, maintaining a high standard of safety and customer service. Responsibilities include safely loading and unloading heavy materials, inspecting delivery vehicles before and after routes, maintaining accurate records for regulatory compliance, and reporting any incidents involving company equipment. The role requires physical stamina to handle materials weighing over 80 pounds, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • valid commercial driver’s license (CDL)
  • minimum Class B license, Class A strongly preferred
  • clear three year Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
  • knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations
  • ability to work independently and on a team
  • strong verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to lift heavy materials up to 100+ lbs
  • stamina for physically demanding tasks
  • ability to prioritize job sites and deadlines
  • ability to multitask and manage stress
  • ability to communicate solutions effectively
  • sound judgment
  • ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Inspect truck/trailer for defects for safe operation
  • safely load building materials onto flatbed or boom truck and unload products at commercial and residential job sites
  • deliver materials to assigned area as directed by the customer while prioritizing personal safety and the safety of those around you
  • maintain records required for compliance with State and Federal regulations
  • report all accidents involving driver or company equipment
  • lift heavy building materials up to 100+ lbs for load/unload
  • provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional attitude
