The role of Driver at Doggett is critical to the companys operational success and customer satisfaction. This position involves ensuring the timely delivery of goods to specific customers along predetermined routes. The Driver is responsible for reviewing orders prior to delivery, loading and unloading trucks as per company and client specifications, and maintaining open communication with dispatchers to coordinate routes and schedules. Exceptional customer service skills are essential in this role, as Drivers represent Doggett when interacting with clients during deliveries. They must confirm delivery details and ensure products meet client expectations, thereby strengthening client relationships and upholding the company’s reputation. The position requires physical stamina and the ability to handle tasks such as lifting heavy items up to 75 pounds, driving, and performing inspections of vehicles before departure.

Drivers will conduct thorough vehicle inspections to comply with safety regulations and company standards, pack and load products following company guidelines for secure transport, and navigate assigned routes efficiently while maintaining excellent communication with route dispatchers. They will also unload deliveries carefully, verify delivery accuracy with customers, and obtain necessary delivery confirmations. Doggett values Drivers who demonstrate a positive and professional attitude, who maintain a clean driving record, and who possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
