The Driver position within FareStart's Social Enterprise department plays a crucial role in the daily operations and mission fulfillment. This non-exempt, full-time role, located in Seattle, WA, offers a competitive wage ranging from $22.94 to $26.70 per hour, reflecting the organization's commitment to fair compensation. The Driver is responsible for the final food assembly, loading, and safe delivery of meals to various centers throughout the city, ensuring that high standards of food safety, hygiene, and customer service are maintained. As part of the team, the Driver supports other pick-up and delivery errands, maintaining vehicles in clean condition and adhering strictly to traffic laws and safety regulations. Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- two or more years of commercial driving experience
- valid Washington State Driver's License with a five year clean driving record
- valid King County Food Handler's Permit or ability to obtain one
- ability to pass a criminal background check and work in locations with vulnerable populations
- knowledge about food safety and sanitization principles
- basic computer skills including ability to use email
- ability to listen patiently and attentively, ability to express self clearly and effectively, and adapt communication based on audience and purpose with inclusivity
- ability to work independently as well as within diverse teams and environments while treating everyone with respect
- ability to employ best practices associated with the position while displaying a commitment to learning and self-improvement
- ability to be reliable and punctual
- ability to work and remain calm in a stressful, fast-paced environment
- ability to take in new information and perspectives to inform and adapt work
- ability to work a non-standard/flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays

Job Duties
- Transport food and supplies to appropriate locations
- maintain assigned schedule
- maintain vehicle in clean condition
- maintain proper hygiene, sanitary, and safety standards regulated by state and organization policies
- maintain fuel level of assigned vehicle
- follow all traffic laws and drive in a safe manner
- load and unload vehicles
- ensure accurate delivery of food and supplies and ensure the condition of the items at delivery are the same as they were when loaded into the vehicle
- perform accurate pick-up of food and supplies from vendors
- perform final food assembly
- ensure food temperature and proper holding at each delivery location and maintain accurate temperature logs
- perform other duties as assigned
