Maintaining vehicle integrity is critical, including conducting thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections, promptly reporting maintenance needs, and ensuring cleanliness and readiness of safety equipment.

Compliance with company policies and DOT regulations form a core aspect of the role. This includes enforcing seat belt use, preparing for emergency situations, and strictly adhering to legal and regulatory standards, especially regarding drug use, with mandatory DOT drug testing and physical examinations.
