The role of Driver at Belmont Village Senior Living is a full-time position, with work hours from Sunday to Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., although shift times may vary, requiring flexibility. As a Driver, you will be an essential member of the team, responsible for safely transporting residents to their scheduled appointments and recreational outings. The position involves operating various company vehicles, including wheelchair-accessible vans, buses, and cars. This role demands a person who is reliable, empathetic, and takes pride in delivering exceptional service in a dynamic and physically active work environment.

In this role, you will perform daily safety inspections and upkeep of all vehicles, ensuring that transportation services run smoothly and safely. Additionally, you will assist residents when entering and exiting vehicles, possibly using mechanical wheelchair lifts, and sometimes support other community functions such as receptionist or concierge duties. Your interactions with residents will be centered on hospitality and care, prioritizing resident satisfaction and well-being.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Must be able to communicate clearly in verbal and written English
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn and work
  • Professional, pleasant and team oriented attitude
  • Consistent and reliable attendance

  • CDL with passenger endorsement may be required in some states

Job Duties

  • Ensure safe operation of the company vehicles in accordance with all applicable laws and ordinances
  • Assist residents in and out of company vehicles as needed which may include the use of a mechanical wheelchair lift
  • Actively participate in the day-to-day upkeep and preventative maintenance needs of the company vehicles which may include fueling and taking vehicles for scheduled service appointments
  • Assist with scheduled resident activities as needed
  • Assist with Receptionist or Concierge duties as needed
  • Make hospitality, customer service, care and satisfaction the priority in every interaction
