Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in the hospitality or restaurant industry preferred
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Excellent communication skills
- Positive attitude and passion for hospitality
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends, nights, and holidays
- Food Handler's Certification or willingness to obtain
- Legal age to serve alcohol
- Ability to obtain responsible alcohol service certification within 6 months
- Must be punctual and reliable
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to follow safety and sanitation protocols
Job Qualifications
- Must have the ability to read, speak, understand, follow written directions and verbal instructions in English
- Must be reachable by email and able to communicate via phone
- Communicates information effectively and efficiently
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Possesses a positive, results-oriented, team-player mentality
- Ability to perform job duties well and maintain professionalism and composure under pressure in a high-paced and stressful environment
- Knowledge of workplace safety procedures and local Department of Health standards
- Food Handler's Certification or ability to obtain according to regulations and company policy
- Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays
- Must be of legal age to serve alcohol
- Certification for responsible alcohol service or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Familiarity with restaurant management software such as point of sales, reservations management, inventory management, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace
- Ability to execute steps of service in adherence with company policy
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent communication with management and teammates
Job Duties
- Complete all assigned side work related to set up and breakdown of the bar
- Ensure the bar is well-stocked with glasses, coasters, napkins, straws, ice, liquor, wine, and beer
- Stock and organize drink pass with garnishes and straws
- Prepare glassware, ticket rail, and drink trays
- Garnish drinks, pour beer from keg, open soda bottles according to bartenders' instructions
- Deliver customer beverages to assigned positions and tables quickly and accurately
- Maintain tables by removing glassware as completed, replenishing beverages, refilling water glasses, and being alert to customer needs when delivering beverages
- Take orders from customers and ensure 100% accuracy when entering orders into the system
- Possess thorough knowledge of all beverage items, ingredients, and presentation to answer customer inquiries and maintain quality control
- Report to each scheduled shift on time, in uniform, and ready to work
- Ensure beverage is served in accordance with safety standards including proper temperature
- Liaise between bartenders and floor staff
- Read order tickets and ensure all customers receive correct beverages
- Answer customers’ questions about cocktails and wines by the glass
- Train new employees as assigned
- Assist other stations or areas of the restaurant when requested by management
