The Food Server role at Hilton entails a dynamic responsibility of serving food and beverages to guests with a keen focus on outstanding service and financial profitability. This role requires team members to maintain high standards in all activities, from timely and friendly guest interactions to ensuring thorough knowledge of menus and promotions. Food Servers are entrusted with taking accurate orders, using point-of-sale systems efficiently, and promptly delivering items to guests. They play a vital role in ensuring guest satisfaction throughout the meal service, including responsible service of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with relevant regulations. Additionally, Food Servers ensure their serving stations are well-stocked at all times to maximize operational efficiency.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior food service or hospitality experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Strong communication skills
  • Must be of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages
  • Ability to work in a team environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food service or hospitality preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
  • Knowledge of point-of-sale systems is an asset
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic math skills for handling cash and payments

Job Duties

  • Respond to guest requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
  • Ensure knowledge of menu and restaurant promotions and specials
  • Take guest food and/or beverage orders and input orders in appropriate point-of-sale system
  • Retrieve and deliver food and beverage orders in a timely manner
  • Ensure guest satisfaction throughout the meal service
  • Serve alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with federal, state, local and company regulations
  • Ensure serving station is well-stocked at all times
