In addition to general vehicle servicing, the technician may be dispatched to recover disabled vehicles using a flatbed truck, which requires a valid Vermont driver's license and the physical ability to lift up to 80 pounds. This role demands strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills as well as the ability to work under conditions that may involve exposure to noise, petroleum products, and paint odors. The position may also require overtime or extended hours depending on departmental needs.
