The role of the Dough Maker at Flippers Bakery is pivotal to the success of our production line. This position requires a highly motivated and dependable individual who will serve as the first point of contact in the dough production process. As the Dough Maker, you will be responsible for preparing all dough batches required throughout the day to support the Production Team’s schedule. This involves operating dough mixing equipment, accurately measuring ingredients, monitoring dough quality, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The role demands a keen eye for detail, ensuring that dough temperature, texture, and consistency adhere strictly to recipe and production standards.

In collaboration with managerial staff, the Dough Maker will ensure that all production tasks align with Flippers Bakery’s core policies and procedures. This ensures consistency and quality in every batch produced. The position demands a high level of responsibility and the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues independently. As part of a vibrant team, the Dough Maker must work efficiently during the designated early morning hours, ensuring timely preparation of dough to meet production demands. The work schedule is primarily Monday through Friday from 4am to 2pm, with occasional weekend hours as required to meet production needs.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Reliable personal transportation
  • Valid driver's license
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Pizza making experience, including hand stretching
  • Ability to work the shift from 4am to 2pm Monday through Friday with weekend availability if needed

Job Duties

  • Operate dough mixing equipment according to standard operating procedures
  • Accurately weigh and combine ingredients per batch requirements
  • Monitor dough temperature, texture, and consistency throughout the mixing process
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the mixing area
  • Sanitize equipment regularly
  • Adhere to food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety regulations
  • Troubleshoot basic mechanical issues with mixers and report malfunctions
  • Work efficiently in a team-oriented, fast-paced production environment
  • Assist with ingredient inventory and stock rotation as needed
