Job Description

DoubleTree by Hilton Salt Lake City Airport is a distinguished hotel located adjacent to an eight-acre lake, just minutes from the Salt Lake City International Airport. This property boasts a superb location with excellent access to major highways like I-80, downtown Salt Lake City, and popular destinations such as the Great Salt Lake State Park. The hotel prides itself on offering modern, comfortable amenities including contemporary guest rooms, a 24-hour fitness center, an indoor pool, and a scenic lakeside walking path that provides a serene environment for both guests and staff. As part of the reputable Hilton brand, DoubleTree by Hilton emphasizes a welcoming atmosphere where staff members enjoy a relaxed workplace with strong connections to the local airport and greater Salt Lake City community. This environment fosters teamwork, exceptional service, and a commitment to creating memorable guest experiences.

The Sales Manager role at DoubleTree by Hilton Salt Lake City Airport sits at the heart of the hotel's success, playing a crucial role in driving revenue growth and expanding the hotel’s clientele. This position is designed for an energetic sales professional who thrives on building lasting business relationships and securing new accounts. The Sales Manager will partner closely with the Director of Sales to ensure the hotel maximizes its potential across various segments including leisure, corporate business travel, SMERF (Social, Military, Educational, Religious, and Fraternal groups), and group bookings. This multifaceted role provides a dynamic and varied work experience aimed at growth and engagement with a broad client base.

Beyond meeting sales and revenue targets, the Sales Manager is expected to be proactive in outreach efforts, employing strategic solicitation calls and leading engaging tours that showcase the hotel’s facilities and services. Building strong client connections and fostering ongoing relationships with existing accounts are key responsibilities, enabling the hotel to maintain and enhance its market position. Monitoring market trends and responding to evolving demands ensure that the Sales Manager keeps the hotel competitive and aligned with industry standards.

As an overtime eligible manager, this role requires dedication and flexibility with working hours, as overtime is applicable and compensated accordingly. The Sales Manager also represents the hotel within the local community and professional circles, upholding Aimbridge Hospitality’s standards and company policies. This leadership position demands integrity, sound judgment, and the ability to be a trusted steward of hotel operations and sensitive information. It involves participation in various management meetings, promotional activities, and special events, contributing to the overall management team’s goals.

Candidates interested in this opportunity should possess strong communication and professional selling skills, the ability to negotiate and multitask independently, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with hotel sales experience considered a plus. A valid driver’s license is mandatory given the outreach nature of the role. Once past the initial waiting period, full-time employees gain access to a comprehensive benefits package including daily pay options, medical, dental, and vision coverage, short and long-term disability income, life insurance, paid time off, employee assistance programs, and a 401k retirement plan.

This position presents an excellent opportunity for someone eager to lead sales initiatives in a hospitality setting, offering a rewarding career path within a well-established hotel brand known for quality service and a supportive work environment.
