The property boasts modern guest rooms, on-site dining options, a complimentary airport shuttle service, and an extensive 10,000 square feet of event space. Additionally, it offers a unique advantage through an indoor walkway directly connecting it to the Lansing Convention Center, facilitating its role as a central venue for conferences, community gatherings, and special events. This professional, service-oriented environment emphasizes excellence and guest satisfaction, ideal for individuals dedicated to delivering stellar hospitality experiences.

The Banquets Captain role at DoubleTree Lansing represents a significant leadership opportunity within a dynamic team tasked with managing various banquet and event functions on a daily basis. This position calls for an individual with a commanding presence and strong organizational skills who can oversee all facets of banquet operations—from the initial setup through to the seamless breakdown after each event. With a robust focus on guest satisfaction, the Banquets Captain ensures that every event detail aligns with established Banquet Event Orders, maintaining high standards for service, presentation, and safety. The role demands an individual who thrives in a lively, fast-paced environment and who possesses outstanding leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

This position requires availability across a range of shifts including day, evening, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the fluctuating demands of event schedules. It also encompasses varied employment statuses, with full-time engagement during peak seasons (February-May, September-November) and part-time work during off-peak months (January, June-August, December). The position offers a competitive benefits package for full-time employees, including health coverage (medical, dental, vision), disability income protection, life insurance, paid time off, an employee assistance program, and a 401k retirement plan. An innovative payroll feature includes the option for daily pay following an initial waiting period. This role is pivotal for those who are passionate about delivering exceptional event experiences and leading teams to success in a collaborative, guest-centric atmosphere.
