Job Description
DoubleTree Albuquerque is a prestigious hotel located in the heart of Albuquerque, New Mexico, dedicated to delivering exceptional guest experiences through superior service and hospitality. Conveniently situated just blocks from the vibrant downtown area and directly connected to the Albuquerque Convention Center via an underground concourse, the hotel provides guests with easy access to popular local attractions like Old Town and ABQ BioPark. Additionally, it is only a 10-minute drive from Albuquerque International Sunport, making it an ideal location for both business and leisure travelers. As part of a globally recognized brand, DoubleTree Albuquerque prides itself on a commitment to quality, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction. The hotel boasts modern facilities, including comfortable guest rooms, versatile event spaces, and a welcoming lobby area where guests can relax and unwind.
Joining the team at DoubleTree Albuquerque as a Dishwasher Steward offers a unique opportunity to play a critical role behind the scenes that ensures the kitchen and dining areas maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and efficiency. The Dishwasher Steward acts as the superhero of sparkle; responsible for washing dishes, glassware, and silverware, and keeping all kitchen equipment spotless and ready for use. This role is vital to the smooth operation of the kitchen, contributing directly to the guest experience by ensuring that every dining area is fresh, clean, and reset for the next shift. Teamwork is essential in this role, as Dishwashers collaborate with the front-of-house staff and kitchen team to maintain a clean and safe environment.
The position emphasizes attention to detail and speed: all dishes must be washed quickly and thoroughly, kitchen surfaces scrubbed and sanitized, and food storage areas organized correctly. Additional responsibilities include unloading deliveries, managing waste by taking out and rinsing cans, and assisting with other tasks as needed throughout the restaurant and kitchen. Candidates who excel in this role will demonstrate strong decision-making skills, the ability to communicate clearly, and composure under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
This role is primarily full-time, offering competitive benefits after an initial employment period. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, short-term and long-term disability income, term life and AD&D insurance, paid time off, an employee assistance program, and a 401k retirement plan. One notable perk is the availability of daily pay, providing employees with flexible financial management options. Furthermore, employees have access to a comfortable breakroom, secure lockers for personal belongings, free parking, and complimentary hot meals during shifts. The hotel fosters a supportive culture through ongoing recognition programs, monthly team events like Thankful Thursdays, and quarterly rallies and team-building celebrations, creating a positive and engaging work environment where employee contributions are truly valued. Joining DoubleTree Albuquerque means becoming part of a team that prioritizes associate well-being and professional growth in a dynamic hospitality setting.
