The role of a Furniture Delivery Driver Assistant at Havertys is essential to the company's commitment to customer satisfaction. These assistants are responsible for assisting delivery drivers in the timely and professional delivery and setup of furniture in customers' homes. This position requires energetic and motivated individuals who enjoy physical, hands-on work and are committed to maintaining high standards of service. The delivery driver assistant must operate in a safe and courteous manner while adhering to the delivery schedule to meet or exceed customers' expectations. Starting at $18.50 per hour, the role offers competitive pay with opportunities for higher earnings based on experience. The shifts begin early at 7:30 am and continue until deliveries are completed, with routes scheduled four to five days a week, excluding Sundays.

The responsibilities include assisting with loading and unloading furniture products at customer locations, stores, or warehouses, operating the delivery vehicle when necessary, and ensuring accurate documentation of deliveries via mobile devices or paperwork. In addition to delivery duties, the assistant may support warehouse or showroom operations if needed. The role requires physical stamina, as it involves lifting and moving heavy items, with a team lift requirement of up to 150 pounds throughout the shift.
