The Hatch Cover Bar & Grill is currently seeking an experienced Door person to join its team on a part-time basis, offering approximately 10 to 20 hours per week or 1 to 3 shifts. This role is critical in maintaining the security and smooth operation of the bar during late-night hours. The ideal candidate will have experience working in the security or bar industry and should be comfortable working late-night shifts between 8 PM and 2 AM on both weekdays and weekends. This position demands a professional and friendly demeanor as the Door person acts as the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a pleasant and safe entry experience.

Key responsibilities include checking IDs and greeting guests upon their arrival, which requires attentiveness to detail and strong communication skills to verify age restrictions and provide a welcoming atmosphere. Additionally, the Door person must enforce the establishment’s beverage policies, keeping outside beverages out and inside beverages in, thereby upholding the venue’s compliance and customer satisfaction. They also assist with minor closing tasks such as putting up chairs, managing end-of-night trash, and wiping tables, helping to maintain the cleanliness and order of the establishment.
