The role available at The Ritz-Carlton is a Guest Service Associate position, where the incumbent will play an integral role in welcoming guests and ensuring their comfort and satisfaction throughout their stay. This role involves serving as the first point of contact for guests, greeting and escorting them to their rooms with warmth and professionalism. The Guest Service Associate is responsible for informing guests about the property’s amenities, services, hours of operation, and local attractions to enhance their visit. They assist guests with luggage transport, storage, and vehicle loading or unloading, demonstrating attentiveness and care. Additionally, the associate facilitates transportation arrangements such as taxis, shuttle buses, and limousine services to meet guest needs.
The position demands an individual who can maintain high standards of personal appearance and professional demeanor while upholding the company’s confidentiality policies. It requires physical stamina to stand, walk, and move objects up to 50 pounds unassisted or heavier items with help, and to navigate various terrain and conditions safely. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
- ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance
- ability to move objects over 75 pounds with help
- ability to navigate sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces
- ability to reach overhead and below knees, including bending and stooping
- ability to communicate clearly in English

Job Duties
- Greet and escort guests to rooms
- open doors and assist guests/visitors entering and leaving property
- inform guests of property amenities, services, and hours of operation, and local areas of interest and activities
- identify and explain room features to guests
- transport guest luggage to and from guest rooms and/or designated bell area
- assist with luggage storage and retrieval
- assist guests/visitors in and out of vehicles, including loading/unloading luggage
- supply guests with directions
- arrange transportation such as taxicab, shuttle bus, limousine/sedan service for guests/visitors
- communicate parking procedures to guests/visitors
