The role offered is that of a Bellperson, an integral position within The Ritz-Carlton team. Bellpersons are the first point of contact when guests arrive at the property, responsible for greeting and escorting guests to their rooms, assisting with luggage handling, opening doors, and providing a warm and professional welcome that aligns with the brand's Gold Standards. This position emphasizes exceptional customer service, clear communication, and attentiveness to guests' needs, including assisting individuals with disabilities and providing information about property amenities, local attractions, and transportation options. Bellpersons also play a vital role in maintaining safety and security by being vigilant for undesirable persons and adhering to company policies and procedures.
This role requires physical activity, such as standing or walking for extended periods, lifting and transporting luggage weighing up to 50 pounds independently, and moving heavier items with assistance. The candidate must be able to work at a pace suitable to the demands of the job, including the ability to navigate slippery or uneven surfaces and stairs. The position demands a clean, professional appearance and the ability to maintain confidentiality regarding proprietary information. Additionally, Bellpersons must demonstrate professionalism in communication, both in person and on the telephone, ensuring courteous and clear interactions at all times.

Job Duties
- Greet and escort guests to rooms
- open doors and assist guests and visitors entering and leaving property
- inform guests of property amenities, services, and hours of operation, and local areas of interest and activities
- identify and explain room features to guests
- transport guest luggage to and from guest rooms and designated bell area
- assist with luggage storage and retrieval
- assist guests and visitors in and out of vehicles, including loading and unloading luggage
- supply guests with directions
- arrange transportation for guests and visitors and record advance requests
- communicate parking procedures to guests and visitors
