The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp is a nonprofit organization focused on providing life-changing experiences for children with serious illnesses and their families. Founded by the late Paul Newman, the camp offers a fun, safe, and medically supervised environment where children can enjoy camp activities, build friendships, and gain confidence while receiving the care they need. The organization is well-established in the New Haven, CT area and is nationally recognized for its impactful work. It relies on community support, fundraising events, and partnerships with sponsors to sustain its mission and programs.
We are currently seeking a Special Events Coordinator to join our dedicated team in New Haven, CT. This role is critical in managing and executing a range of fundraising events and community engagement activities that help raise awareness and support for the camp. The Special Events Coordinator will oversee all aspects of event logistics from planning through completion, ensuring that each event runs smoothly and achieves its fundraising goals. This includes coordinating with vendors, volunteers, and stakeholders, as well as tracking donor responses and managing relationships with sponsors to cultivate ongoing support.
This position requires occasional travel throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions to attend events and maintain relationships with partners. Candidates should have a strong background in event management with excellent organizational skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel for tracking and reporting purposes. Job Requirements
