The employment opportunity offered is for the role of Domestic Forwarding Agent II, based out of the Burlingame, California office. This is a hybrid position requiring reliable commuting to the office three days per week. The position offers competitive hourly pay ranging from $25 to $28, with compensation tailored according to experience, skills, education, and location. As a Domestic Forwarding Agent, candidates will work directly with carriers to manage and execute daily freight shipments for customers, coordinating the entire shipping lifecycle from pickup through delivery. This role requires meticulous attention to detail to ensure accurate shipment documentation and milestone updates. You will proactively track and trace shipments, identify exceptions, and maintain clear, timely communication with customers, carriers, and internal teams. The agent is expected to procure qualified carriers who meet customer service requirements while aligning with company profitability objectives. Maintaining and updating customer service agents with shipment information will also be crucial, alongside navigating CRM and Transportation Management Systems to provide accurate facility and contact details.
