Job Description

Regal Cinemas is a leading movie theater chain known for providing an exceptional entertainment experience to moviegoers across the United States. With numerous locations nationwide, Regal prides itself on creating a welcoming atmosphere where guests can enjoy the latest films with premium amenities. The company emphasizes excellent customer service, cleanliness, and a fun environment for all patrons. As part of its strong commitment to employee growth, Regal offers comprehensive training programs, including cast certification and beverage server training, to ensure that team members are knowledgeable and professional in their roles. The environment at Regal is fast-paced and dynamic, suitable for individuals who thrive in guest-facing positions and enjoy working in the entertainment and hospitality industry.

The bartender position at Regal Cinemas plays a crucial role in supporting the guest experience by delivering high-quality alcoholic beverages quickly and courteously in a clean setting. This role is flexible and may be classified as variable hour, part-time fixed, part-time regular, or full-time hourly, depending on theater needs and employee availability. Bartenders must be of legal age to serve alcohol and comply with all state and local laws related to alcohol service. The role requires completion of all applicable training and certifications, including the Regal Responsible Beverage Server training available via Regal Online University.

Bartenders are expected to have a genuine commitment to guest satisfaction and to represent Regal Cinemas in a manner consistent with the company’s mission and values. Key responsibilities include proper preparation of alcoholic beverages according to company guidelines, strict adherence to laws and regulations regarding alcohol sale and service, and maintaining certification current. In addition to crafting drinks, bartenders handle cash and merchandise, operate concession equipment, and maintain cleanliness and organization in storerooms and workspaces. They must be familiar with all company promotions, including the Crown Club Program, and utilize effective sales techniques such as upselling and suggestive selling to enhance revenue.

Bartenders also play a critical role in ensuring safety and compliance by adhering to emergency, evacuation, and robbery procedures and following counterfeit bill protocols. They must be knowledgeable of all operational procedures covering opening, closing, and show intermissions. Managing the accuracy of cash drawers and inventories is a vital component of the position, along with abiding by company dress codes and policies regarding meal and break periods.

This role offers a competitive pay rate of $17.50 per hour and includes several valuable benefits. Regal team members enjoy free movie passes and discounted concessions across all Regal locations, fostering a deeper connection with the entertainment experience they help create. After meeting eligibility criteria, employees can participate in a 401(k) retirement plan featuring a company match, helping secure their financial future. This position is ideal for individuals seeking a vibrant work environment, opportunities to develop customer service and sales skills, and the chance to work within a nationally recognized entertainment brand.
