Job Description
Amentum is a leading global provider of innovative and integrated solutions in the defense, aerospace, and federal government sectors. As a reputable government contracting company, Amentum supports a diverse range of missions with cutting-edge expertise and a commitment to excellence. The company fosters a dynamic and inclusive work environment where innovation and dedication are highly valued. Through strategic partnerships and advanced technologies, Amentum strives to deliver superior services and operational effectiveness that meet the evolving needs of its clients. This particular role is integral to the organization's mission of providing exceptional administrative and litigation support services in a secure and efficient manner.
The Contractor role primarily entails providing direct end-user support for the applications supported by the office, encompassing both telephone support and in-person assistance on-site. The position demands a high level of customer service skills to manage incoming calls, greet and control visitor access, and handle citizen inquiries and complaints effectively. This role also includes critical administrative duties such as receiving and distributing legal documents, maintaining up-to-date telephone directories, managing office supplies, scheduling conference rooms, and facilitating courier services between offices and various legal agencies.
This is an hourly, overtime-eligible position compensated at a rate of $16.85 per hour. As this role falls under the Service Contract Act (SCA), employees may be eligible for additional health and welfare payments to comply with the Act’s minimum benefit standards. The benefits package is robust, offering health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off and holidays, retirement benefits including 401(k) matching, educational reimbursement, parental leave, an employee stock purchase plan, tax-saving options, disability and life insurance, and even pet insurance. These benefits reflect Amentum’s commitment to supporting employee wellbeing and professional growth.
The ideal candidate must be capable of obtaining and maintaining a U.S. government security clearance, demonstrate excellent communication and typing skills, and possess a proficient understanding of the government’s office and network environment, including word processing, database management, spreadsheet handling, imaging, and telecommunications systems. An undergraduate degree is preferred, and experience in litigation support is valued. The role requires initiative and the ability to seek clarification when instructions are unclear, ensuring tasks are completed with accuracy and efficiency.
Amentum’s inclusive work culture respects diversity and promotes equal opportunity without regard to race, sex, pregnancy, sexual orientation, veteran status, age, color, religion, or other protected categories. The hiring process is designed to accommodate individuals with disabilities, ensuring that all essential job functions can be performed with or without reasonable accommodations. This position will remain open until filled, indicating the company’s commitment to finding the right candidate who aligns with its core values and mission objectives.
