Job Description
TForce Freight is a leading less-than-truckload (LTL) freight carrier operating across North America and is a proud subsidiary of TFI International. The company specializes in providing comprehensive transportation and logistics services that cater to a wide array of shipment types, including palletized items and heavy LTL loads. With an extensive network of over 178 service centers, TForce Freight offers regional, interregional, and long-haul transportation solutions. Customers benefit from cross-border services and advanced shipment tracking technology, ensuring timely and secure delivery of goods. The organization's commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction makes it a key player in the transportation and freight industry.
TForce Freight is currently hiring for the position of Dockworker Full-Time with CDL, offering a competitive pay rate of $19.50 per hour. This role is ideal for individuals who bring reliability, safety awareness, and a customer-focused attitude to the workplace. As a Dockworker, you will be an essential member of the logistics team, responsible for safely and efficiently loading freight to guarantee on-time deliveries while maintaining the integrity of shipments.
This position demands the operation of various powered warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, cherry pickers, hydraulic jacks, and extended belts, to manage freight loading and unloading operations. Additionally, you will utilize yard trucks to navigate vehicles carefully around the dock area, even in confined spaces. The role further requires the safe operation of a tractor and trailer for freight pick-up and delivery, requiring the ability to follow safety protocols rigorously and to maintain a professional demeanor at all times. Attention to detail and proactive communication with dispatch management is critical to managing schedules and resolving any transportation issues promptly.
An essential part of the role includes performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles to ensure safety and proper maintenance while adhering strictly to all local, state, and federal transportation regulations. This helps in reducing risks and maintaining a secure work environment. The Dockworker position at TForce Freight not only provides a stable and rewarding career path but also offers employees the opportunity to grow within a company that values dedication, safety, and excellent customer service. The benefits package includes pension plans, 401K options, paid time off, excellent wages, and additional benefits designed to support employees’ well-being and career growth. Candidates are encouraged to provide a complete 10-year employment history on their applications in compliance with FMCSA regulations. Joining TForce Freight means becoming part of an organization dedicated to professional growth, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction. If you are seeking a career that combines operational responsibility with a strong customer service focus, this role presents a compelling opportunity to advance your profession in the freight and logistics industry.
