Job Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in warehousing with increasing responsibilities
  • Expertise managing warehousing operations
  • Experience in 3PL environments is helpful
  • Proven experience improving business operations
  • Skilled in customer contract negotiations
  • Experience managing performance metrics
  • Strong financial and P&L acumen
  • Familiarity with Lean methods
  • Proficiency with WMS and TMS systems
  • Ability to build effective relationships and solve problems

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in fast-paced warehousing environments with increasing responsibilities
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing growing warehousing operations
  • Experience in 3PL environments supporting multiple customers or lines of business
  • Proven ability to work with customers to improve operations and results
  • Skilled in contract negotiations for customer agreements
  • Experience in implementing and managing KPIs and holding teams accountable
  • Strong financial, analytical, and P&L management skills
  • Familiarity with Lean techniques and continuous improvement models
  • Proficient with warehouse management systems (WMS) and transportation management systems (TMS)
  • Experienced in working with remote headquarters and cross-functional teams
  • Ability to foster a high-trust, high-performance team culture
  • Demonstrated leadership and people-management skills.

Job Duties

  • Develops and maintains logistics operations business plans including program requirements, labor hours, cycle, production costs, and image
  • Establishes production and quality control standards, develops budget and cost controls, and obtains product data
  • Provides guidance for logistics process planning such as personnel, materials, subcontract needs, and equipment
  • Ensures fulfillment of cost, quality, and delivery commitments
  • Coordinates logistics with organizational functions and suppliers for optimal resource utilization
  • Manages operational expenses with financial analysis
  • Reviews production reports and resolves operational, logistics, and maintenance problems
  • Assigns responsibilities to achieve business objectives
  • Oversees shipping/receiving, picking/packing, and inventory
  • Manages rapid carton throughput for import deconsolidation and domestic consolidation
  • Supervises unloading, sorting, segregating, palletizing, load out, and on-time store deliveries
  • Handles domestic pickup and delivery functions
  • Implements continuous improvement methods to enhance productivity and accuracy
  • Performs managerial functions like mentoring, coaching, conducting performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and interviewing
  • Engages staff for talent development and leadership growth
  • Drives a high-performance, empowered team culture
  • Ensures compliance with company, government, and customer policies and regulations
  • Works full-time on-site.
