Einstein Bros. Bagels is currently seeking a dedicated and motivated General Manager to join their team. This role is perfect for individuals looking to grow their career within the company, providing an opportunity to rise through the ranks starting as a District Shift Leader. The District Shift Leader position serves as a development stage where candidates undergo targeted training to become qualified General Managers, also known as "bagel bosses." This leadership role involves managing duties at a primary location and supporting other stores within the market, gaining valuable experience and independence by traveling and collaborating with different team leaders. The typical day starts early, as shifts may begin as early as 3am to oversee the first bake and store opening duties. The District Shift Leader leads by example, acting as a brand ambassador, providing ongoing coaching, training staff, and maintaining high standards for food quality, service, and store cleanliness. The development plan also covers essential administrative skills such as inventory tracking, vendor orders, cash management, profit and loss analysis, labor and food cost control, scheduling, and recruiting quality team members. This role not only prepares individuals to effectively manage a bakery but also cultivates leadership skills essential for long-term success within the company. The position requires candidates to be at least 18 years old and offers a competitive hourly wage between $14.57 and $21.86, plus tips in accordance with state laws. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must be able to work varied hours including early mornings and weekends
  • Must be able to pass background check
  • Must possess a current, valid driver’s license
  • Must complete Bagel Brands ServSafe Certification program by end of development plan if not certified
  • Expected to fill in for General Managers at other locations
  • Expected to accept permanent General Manager promotion when available

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of leadership experience preferred
  • Ability to work varied hours including early mornings and weekends
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Passed background check
  • Completion of Bagel Brands ServSafe Certification program by end of development plan if not already certified

Job Duties

  • Perform management duties at home bakery location
  • Support other bakeries in the market as needed
  • Lead by example and act as a brand ambassador
  • Provide ongoing coaching and training to team members
  • Maintain high-quality food and beverage standards
  • Ensure a safe and clean store environment
  • Manage inventory, vendor orders, and cash handling
  • Analyze P&L and achieve food cost and labor targets
  • Schedule and recruit team members
