The role of District Service Manager (DSM) at Penske is a pivotal leadership position responsible for overseeing multiple service locations within a designated district. This includes ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures, managing hiring, training, and development of staff, and offering strategic input to the District Manager on fleet operations, expense control, and process improvements.

Key responsibilities encompass implementing and maintaining consistent policies and procedures, conducting comprehensive location reviews, leading clear and effective communication across multiple platforms, and ensuring flawless execution of company processes. The DSM acts as a resource for customer operational inquiries, champions technical training and continuous development, and prioritizes customer experience along with cost efficiency. Furthermore, the role demands thorough analytical capabilities including root cause analysis, fleet consulting and planning, maximizing warranty recoveries, and maintaining strong relationships with approved suppliers.
