The District Sales Representative role at BiRite Foodservice Distributors is an exciting and dynamic position focused on promoting and selling the company’s products and services while building and maintaining strong relationships with both new and existing customers. This full-time, exempt position reports directly to the District Sales Manager and offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $110,000, depending on experience. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in growing sales within the assigned territory through the acquisition of new accounts and the nurturing of current ones. The role requires regular in-person visits for product demonstrations and promotions, as well as timely and professional communication with customers to address inquiries, process orders, and ensure satisfaction.

This job demands not only strong sales skills but also excellent organizational capabilities, a high level of initiative, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. The District Sales Representative must demonstrate a customer-first mindset, ensuring that BiRite’s standards of business conduct are upheld at all times. With responsibilities spanning cold calling, sales goal achievement, and order management, this position offers a challenging yet rewarding career path for sales professionals passionate about the foodservice industry.

Candidates for this role should be comfortable working independently and as part of a team and possess strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. The role requires a valid California driver’s license, car insurance, and a reliable vehicle to navigate the often busy and congested roads of the Bay Area. Additionally, physical requirements include the ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and handle repetitive motions typical of a sales role such as typing and phone communication. A culinary or hospitality background and multilingual capabilities are considered advantages.

Job Qualifications

  • Three years of outside broadline foodservice sales experience preferred

  • reside within a reasonable commuting distance to the district or willing to relocate

Job Duties

  • Achieve sales goals and objectives established by the company
  • open new accounts and conduct cold calls
  • manage, grow, and maintain existing accounts
  • conduct regular in-person visits to build and maintain relationships, product demos and promotions
  • timely response to both internal and external customers on inquiries, orders or pending items
  • receive, process, and transmit customer orders
  • promptly respond to inquiries from customers including past, current, and pending orders
  • demonstrate initiative, urgency, commitment, and ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously
  • other duties may be assigned
