The role being offered is based in the Innovation Quarter located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. This full-time position, with a pay range of $51.05 to $76.60 per hour, is eligible for benefits and requires a 40-hour work week. The position centers on programmatic event planning and placemaking efforts throughout the Innovation Districts. As a critical district ambassador and connector, the successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Advocate Health districts leadership team, university partners, tenants, community members, and ecosystem leaders to design and execute a variety of events and initiatives that foster community building and engagement. Responsibilities include surveying and working with local stakeholders to craft an annual calendar of events, curating outdoor activations, and developing strategic approaches to boost event participation and community awareness. The individual will lead all aspects of event design, coordination, and promotion, including managing volunteers and vendors. Financial duties involve creating and managing budgets, processing invoices, and securing funding sponsors to offset event costs. This role also entails aligning marketing efforts with Advocate Health's communications team to promote events and enhance the Innovation Quarter's brand. The position demands a strategic thinker with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. - Bachelor’s degree or 2 years demonstrated experience in relevant field such as university administration, community development, corporate engagement, communications
- Proven experience in events and programming, community engagement, project management or related roles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strategic thinker with ability to develop and execute innovative initiatives
- Self-starter capable of managing multiple projects and balancing priorities

Job Duties
- Survey and work with Innovation District tenants and community members to design annual calendar of events
- Implement resources to support events and activities aligning with district needs
- Curate outdoor activations that enhance community experience
- Develop strategies to ensure strong event participation and engagement
- Lead event design, promotion, coordination, including volunteer and vendor management
- Create and manage event budgets, process invoices, assist with vendor setup
- Identify and source funding sponsors to offset event costs
- Oversee tenant events and amenity activities with property management team
- Collaborate with marketing and communications team to promote events and brand
- Track district connections and engagement among tenants and community
- Lead implementation of annual tenant survey and input data into CRM
