Currently, Sodexo is seeking a District Manager 2 to oversee and lead the food service operations for several university accounts located throughout Virginia. This strategic leadership role plays a critical part in ensuring the successful management and execution of dining services across multiple campuses. The District Manager will be the primary liaison between Sodexo and the university clients, aligning the company’s service delivery with client expectations and goals. This role requires a visionary leader who can develop and maintain exceptional client relations, optimize operational efficiency, and inspire a team of general managers and support staff to deliver high-quality dining experiences.
The ideal candidate will have extensive multi-unit food service management experience, particularly in high-quality dining and food retail operations. The position involves significant travel, estimated at 75 to 80 percent, enabling hands-on management and direct engagement with each university account. The District Manager will be responsible for developing comprehensive business plans with account general managers, overseeing financial performance, and ensuring strict adherence to safety and quality standards. Additionally, the role demands strong strategic thinking capabilities to drive innovation, enhance customer satisfaction, and grow the business portfolio.
