The District Manager 2 - Food role for the DC, VA, MD region is a critical leadership position within Sodexo Government Services. This position involves overseeing multiple accounts within a designated geographic region and is responsible for managing all operational aspects through subordinate managers, supervisors, and employees. Key responsibilities include financial performance oversight, client retention, and staff development. The District Manager will collaborate with Sodexo leadership and clients to maintain solid, mutually beneficial business relationships ensuring account retention and satisfaction.
This role requires developing strategic business plans and budgets with General Managers, demonstrating strong leadership and financial acumen, and managing multiple deadlines effectively. The ideal candidate will be a US citizen capable of obtaining a security clearance and possess experience managing unionized work environments. Strong relationship-building skills, strategic thinking, and a focus on high-quality dining service programs are essential to thrive in this position.

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Seven years of management experience
- Seven years of functional experience
- Ability to obtain security clearance

Job Duties
- Serve as the primary representative of Sodexo for multiple accounts in a designated geographic area
- Be responsible for successfully coordinating and directing all activities within the assigned geographic area through subordinate managers, supervisors and employees including financial performance, client retention, and employee training and development
- Develop a business plan and budget for the accounts with the General Managers
- Have a strong strategic leadership, financial acumen, talent management, and strong communication and project management skills
- Demonstrate ability to meet multiple deadlines and manage the workload accordingly
