We are currently seeking a District Sales Manager to join our industry-leading sales team within the Institutional division. This full-time role, based preferably within a commutable distance to Miami, FL, offers a competitive salary and includes the provision of a non-decaled company vehicle for business and personal use. The District Sales Manager will be instrumental in driving revenue and profit growth through the development and execution of comprehensive district sales strategies.

In this role, you’ll use a consultative sales approach to build strong relationships with both existing and prospective clients, focusing on delivering system assurance programs tailored to meet their unique business needs. You will be responsible for converting strategic competitive accounts and introducing new technologies that enhance client operations and environmental outcomes. Your leadership will extend beyond sales execution as you coach and develop a team of sales engineers and technical service representatives, ensuring workforce expertise and continuous improvement.

The position involves frequent collaboration with senior management and cross-functional teams to align district objectives with broader corporate goals. You will be expected to generate accurate sales forecasts, participate in strategic and tactical planning, and manage resources efficiently to maximize returns on investment within the district. Monitoring market intelligence, analyzing trends, and adjusting business plans in response to shifting conditions will be critical to maintaining a competitive edge.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years sales experience in industrial or water treatment sectors
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively within a 200-mile radius
  • Residency within a commutable distance of Miami, FL is highly preferred
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Effective communication abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM applications
  • Willingness to work in a flexible and independent environment

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field
  • Proven experience in industrial sales or water treatment sales
  • Demonstrated leadership skills managing sales teams
  • Strong consultative sales and negotiation abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to analyze market data and develop strategic business plans
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and sales forecasting tools
  • Capacity to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
  • Knowledge of water treatment technologies and industrial environmental regulations is preferred

Job Duties

  • Drive profit growth to meet defined district profit increase goals by developing and executing a district plan to maximize revenue
  • Regularly interact across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure objectives are met
  • Generate sales forecasts and accurately predict revenue on a monthly basis
  • Participate in strategic and tactical planning for the district by leveraging, allocating, and maximizing ROI for all tools and resources
  • Construct business plans incorporating essential market drivers and all obtainable analytics, while monitoring and adjusting plan according to shifts, emerging conditions, and threats to the business
  • Demonstrate strong leadership by championing corporate initiatives and by planning and leading District Meetings
  • Provide continuous coaching and development to team of sales engineers and technical service representatives to create and maintain value
  • Ensure all new hires achieve training standards that lead to expertise in discussing products and services
  • Take action quickly to address performance deficiencies, maintain documentation and apprise appropriate others of the status of performance issues
  • Support team and internal partners in identifying trends, understanding market conditions, and sharing expertise and knowledge
  • Reinforce a clear vision for the team corresponding to strategic objectives
  • Work closely with large, strategic, current and prospective customers to understand business needs
