The company is currently seeking a dynamic, highly motivated, and goal-oriented District Manager to be based in the Chicago area, covering the state of Illinois. This pivotal role is ideal for an individual passionate about fine wines and with a strong background in sales and account management. The District Manager will be responsible for growing Kobrand’s total portfolio within key accounts by fostering enduring relationships with buyers, restaurant groups, retailers, and other important on-premise and off-premise accounts, with a particular focus on the Chicago city market. This role requires a balanced approach, dedicating 85 percent of efforts to account management, 10 percent to distributor management, and 5 percent to administrative tasks.
In this capacity, the District Manager will work closely with distributor partners and Kobrand suppliers to drive sales and expand distribution across Illinois. They will be instrumental in proposing, coordinating, and executing various on-premise and off-premise events, including tastings, wine dinners, and educational activations targeted at both consumers and trade professionals. Monthly business reviews with supervisors are a vital element of the position to consistently evaluate account performance, uncover growth opportunities, and align on strategic priorities. The District Manager must demonstrate keen market acumen by identifying emerging trends and proposing actionable plans to capitalize on those opportunities.

Job Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Must be able to do occasional overnight travel within the territory
- Must be able to comfortably lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to walk, stand, climb, balance, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel or crouch on a daily basis
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum five years experience selling fine wines (sommelier, supplier, distributor)
- Proven track record of developing new business opportunities, growing existing accounts, and building and maintaining impactful customer relationships
- Strong verbal/written communication, organizational, and sales skills
- Passion and knowledge of wine, wine regions and the wine industry (WSET, CSW a plus)
- Strong computer skills (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
Job Duties
- Develop a key account list and maintain strong relationships with buyers, restaurant groups, retailers, and important on/off-premise accounts with a focus on City of Chicago on-premise accounts
- Work with distributor partners and Kobrand suppliers to drive sales and distribution growth in on/off-premise accounts throughout Illinois
- Propose, coordinate, and execute on-premise and off-premise events, tastings, wine dinners, and educational activations for consumers/trade
- Conduct monthly business reviews with supervisor to evaluate account performance, identify growth opportunities, and align on strategic priorities
- Identify market trends and opportunities and propose action plans to supervisor
- Manage and achieve individual quota for depletions, placements and qualitative efforts
- Focus 85% on account management, 10% on distributor management, and 5% on administrative tasks
