The District Chef role at Aramark is a pivotal leadership position focused on overseeing culinary operations across multiple locations with an emphasis on brand consistency, food quality, safety, and sanitation standards. The candidate will be instrumental in ensuring seamless kitchen management and team development, thereby enhancing guest satisfaction through exceptional culinary experiences. This role requires a strategic and hands-on culinary leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to operational excellence, cost control, and innovation.
The District Chef will be responsible for supervising culinary teams across several sites, leading initiatives that promote high-quality food preparation and presentation, standardizing recipes, managing inventory, and maintaining strict adherence to safety and sanitation protocols. The role also involves mentoring kitchen personnel, coordinating special catering events, and driving menu pricing and development to align with company objectives and market trends. The District Chef will travel approximately 20 percent of the time, facilitating training and operational improvements on-site to support optimal performance and brand integrity.

Job Duties
- Train and lead kitchen personnel
- estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food
- select and develop recipes as well as standardize production recipes to ensure consistent quality
- establish presentation technique and quality standards
- plan and price menus
- ensure accurate equipment operation and maintenance
- ensure accurate safety and sanitation in kitchen
- cook selected items, no more than 20 percent of the time
- coordinate special catering events and offer culinary instruction or demonstrate culinary techniques
- directly supervise kitchen personnel with responsibility for hiring, mentoring, performance reviews and initiating pay increases
