Job Description
Acxion Foodservice, Inc. is a leading company in the foodservice industry, specializing in providing a comprehensive range of food and beverage products to distributors, operators, and customers across diverse markets. With a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, Acxion Foodservice partners with key clients to enhance their business growth by delivering innovative product solutions and exceptional service. The company operates within the dynamic foodservice distribution landscape, supporting large leverage operators with strategic and operational expertise to maximize sales opportunities and product visibility. Acxion Foodservice is known for its customer-centric approach, focusing on building strong relationships with distributors and operators to meet evolving market needs effectively.
The Sales Territory Manager role at Acxion Foodservice is a pivotal position designed to manage and grow an assigned territory with an annual volume size exceeding $500,000. This full-time role demands a results-oriented professional who can lead and motivate a sales team, implement strategic sales plans, and maintain robust relationships with distributors and customers. The incumbent acts as a vital bridge between Acxion’s strategic corporate goals and the practical requirements of distributors, ensuring alignment and collaboration that drive business growth and client satisfaction. The Sales Territory Manager is responsible for achieving specific Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), managing daily activities of the sales team, coaching team members to meet sales objectives, and overseeing distributor operations to optimize sales potential.
In this role, the Sales Territory Manager must employ strong leadership and organizational skills to coach and direct Operator Specialists, oversee effective use of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools for sales planning and reporting, and coordinate with regional sales assistants to support marketing efforts such as food shows, contracts, and customer events. The position also involves significant fieldwork, including performing sales calls, market analysis, competitive intelligence, and direct engagement with large leverage operators to increase product adoption and market share. A key aspect of the role is to ensure that marketing activities are executed properly at the distributor level, thus maximizing product exposure and revenue.
Furthermore, the role requires the manager to maintain up-to-date knowledge of company products, market trends, and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions. Strong communication skills are essential for preparing and presenting sales reports to senior management and clients, conducting training sessions for distributor sales teams, and managing performance evaluations for direct reports. The ability to handle diverse administrative tasks, such as scheduling, reviewing buyer activities, and ensuring compliance with company policies and training programs, is also critical.
This opportunity is ideal for a seasoned sales professional with a background in foodservice, possessing a proactive approach, excellent negotiation skills, and a customer-first attitude. The Sales Territory Manager’s responsibilities encompass a blend of strategic planning, team leadership, relationship management, and hands-on sales execution, offering a challenging and rewarding career path within a reputable company. Acxion Foodservice values professionalism, innovation, and dedication to service excellence, providing a supportive environment for growth and achievement in the foodservice sales industry.
